Jingle Brüe is Brüeprint’s holiday seasonal offering. It is a spiced winter amber ale that checks in at 5.1% abv and 31 IBU.
In the glass, Jingle Brüe is a dark gold to light amber color with a nice rocky head that hangs around for a while. It is a really clean beer, with great clarity and a pleasant crispness.
In presents with aromas of cloves, nutmeg, orange blossom, and a very light pineyness. In the mouth, I got spices -cloves, and nutmeg and dried ginger predominating- with some notes of pine, and chocolate waaaay in the background.
There is something in the aroma and taste of many spiced beers that often reminds me of shampoo or craft soaps. I know that that is not a flaw in the beer but simply a function of the way my palate perceives the flavor compounds and the associations my mind makes. It is a tribute to Brüeprint that, in spite of that, I really enjoyed Jingle Brüe, and wouldn’t have minded to have been gifted more than one can of it.
